Position  Title : Inventory Manager
Profile : Prime Objective: To develop and manage Inventory in order to ensure that all physical movements of fuel are correctly recorded and reported for all Supreme Fuels locations . To develop best practice processes for the control and documentation of receipt, management and dispatch of fuel at all region locations. Key Tasks: • A primary objective of this role is to ensure that the correct procedures are in place to provide accurate control and reporting for physical inventory at specified locations for the Fuels business within Western Region. • The Inventory manager will manage a team that will work closely with the Operations Managers and Transport team to identify continuous opportunities for improvement. • The Inventory team will provide daily updates to the GM and also to the Inventory Accounting Manager. These updates will provide clear information that shows the current status and forward requirements for stock management. • To manage a team ensuring proper records of all physical stock movements are kept. • In conjunction with the Inventory Accounting Manager will implement best practice KPIs that can be used to monitor and trend performance. • They will ensure that all fuel receipts, transfers, downloads, blending and other information for the Region is accurately recorded and provided to the fuels inventory accounting team in a timely manner. • The Inventory Accounting Manager will provide an accurate 3 monthly rolling forecast to the Inventory Accounting Manager that can be included into the overall rolling forecast. • They will proactively manage new locations ensuring that the proper systems are implemented for recording fuel stock. • Identify any issues that may impede Supreme’s ability to properly record stock and ensure these issues are immediately resolved. This may include but is not limited to training, equipment and quality issues. • Develop processes and mechanisms to avoid and or overcome any issues that do impact on the inventory activities within the remote location. • They will ensure that all Operational staff is properly trained to provide the correct stock information. • They will liaise with the Inventory Accounting on all matters that affect the recording of accurate book stock, including reports, documents and month end closing. Work closely with finance to develop and manage a set of clear reporting tools. • They will manage a communication program to ensure that all key parties are consistently updated in relation to inventory management, including Director of Operations, General Managers, Inventory accounting team. • They will ensure that daily and monthly stock takes are properly performed. • The Inventory Manager will carry out the year end stock take procedure to audit standards developed by the Inventory Accounting Manager and coordinate the external auditor schedule. • The Inventory Manager will implement improved inventory reporting mechanisms in consultation with Inventory Accounting and Finance teams to streamline the inventory recording process.
